Are you a hard core rider? Are you looking for a real challenge? Laurel Highlands Cycling Tours has a tour just for you. This tour features two days of intense riding. Each day's route covers 75 to 100 miles with over 6000ft of climbing. All routes feature climbs of at least three miles in length; with average gradients of 7% to 9% and peak gradients of up to 20%. This tour's routes traverse back and forth through the Laurel Highlands. It's routes extend south from Latrobe PA to Confluence and Ohiopyle. Seven Springs ski resort, Kooser state park and Laurel Hill state park are just a few of places you will pass on this tour. The route elevations range from 1000 ft to about 2900 ft above sea level. There are many climbs and descents each day. Some of the descents will be 3 to 4 miles in length. If you're comfortable with high speed you can easily do 50+ mph on the way down. There will always be a support van close by to provide mechanical support, snacks and drinks. A lunch will be served somewhere near the middle of each route.
