We offer several unique bicycle tours. We schedule those bicycle tours often. This allows us to regularly check on the restaurants, hotels and tour routes to insure everything is as stated and the highest quality is maintained.
We do this to be able to make our bike tours the very best possible.
Our bicycling vacations can be enjoyed with only two days of vacation plus the weekend.
Most of our standard bicycle tours start on Thursday afternoon and finish on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Imagine yourself riding on quiet two-lane country roads without centerlines where the traffic is low and the drivers are courteous to cyclists. The roads are lined with trees, frequently it seems as if you are riding in a tunnel of trees.
You will be riding through deep scenic valleys with beautiful ridges above you. At times the road follows a rustic stream as it winds it's way along the valley floor.
Later after slowly working your way up the side of a ridge, you will be looking down into those deep valleys from above. You are amazed at the spectacular views.
At day's end, while dining with new friends in a fine restaurant , you reflect on everything you experienced that day. This is one example of what you should expect from one of our tours!

All of our tour routes have been carefully selected to provide an interesting cycling experience along with spectacular views, interesting sights and a touch of history.
Over 95% of the mileage, on our bicycle tour routes, is on low traffic country roads. The routes are continually improved and refined. We have been riding these and many other routes in the area for years , so we know the best choices to add to our bicycle tours.
You will ride at your own pace. Your guide will always be riding in the rear to insure no one is left behind.
Your lodging will be at an excellent hotel or Inn. The restaurants are chosen for their fine dinners and charming ambiance.
We always try to incorporate a touch of history where possible.
A support van will always be close at hand if you decide to hitch a ride or if you have mechanical difficulties.
On most tours there are two different rides each day. Each ride returns to the lodging area which allows our guests to ride one or both rides each day as they choose.
Our group size is limited to 12 to insure personal attention and to help encourage the participants to get to know each other. Part of the fun of this type of vacation is getting to know new people.
Because of the rolling nature of the terrain in the area you should ride regularly for at least four to six weeks before the start of your tour. Of course a support van is always close by to give you a ride over any hill that is too difficult.

We started "Laurel Highlands Cycling Tours" (LHCT) to share our love of cycling in the Laurel Highlands region of Pennsylvania with others who do not live here. We felt many people would really enjoy cycling and vacationing in this scenic and history laden area.
Our cycling experiences in the area have shown us the most beautiful and historic places to ride. We have experienced the enjoyment of a guided bicycle vacation ourselves and wanted to help others experience the same type of great cycling and vacationing here in the Laurel Highlands.
The Laurel Highlands region is located in southwestern Pennsylvania. It is rich in historical sites dating from before the revolutionary war and onward.
The quaint country village of Ligonier, the home base for many of our tours, is the site of Fort Ligonier built around 1758 It is a wonderful place to explore the past. The village of Ligonier also has over 60 unique stores and shops all within walking distance from the hotel.
If your spouse or significant other doesn't want to ride, he or she can sleep in, shop or sight-see until you return from the morning ride. You could then ride the second ride or spend the afternoon together doing some of the many other activities available at the home base site.
We offer a complete cycling vacation experience.
We provide your lodging, all meals except lunch, a support van on all rides, mechanical support if needed, cue sheets and escort you on exciting and interesting cycling tours.
We also will provide ideas and suggestions for things to do during the non-cycling hours and do whatever we can to insure you have a wonderful vacation. All of this is included in our tour prices!
The local area provides many non-cycling activities for you to do after the riding is done each day.
A really special place to visit is the "Flight 93 Memorial" just 20 miles from Ligonier.
Please check the Area Attractions for additional information about the area.
